Our Job is Not Done.

Every day, we witness the impact of your generosity. Since 1979, HOPE of East Central Illinois has been working to provide survivors with comprehensive crisis intervention, legal advocacy, housing, prevention and education services. Because of the generosity of our community, HOPE is here and is able to respond when survivors, like Sharon make that first call for help. “When I called HOPE for the first time, I wasn’t sure what to do or what I would say. I had been in this relationship for so long. I couldn’t see myself anymore. I had lost a part of me. I wasn’t sure what to do but I knew I did not want to live like this anymore.” We have witnessed the strength of survivors as they work to navigate a path free from violence.

Domestic violence is prevalent in every community, and affects all people regardless of age, socioeconomic status, sexual orientation, gender, race, religion or nationality. Domestic violence can take many forms, it involves behavior that is used to establish power and control over another person. It is often done through fear and intimidation over a period of time, suing threats, and verbal, emotional or physical abuse. Domestic Violence can happen to anyone, and everyone deserves to feel safe and respected.

Please consider supporting survivors with a gift to HOPE of East Central Illinois. Help us answer the call and ensure HOPE is available to all.
